Now, this one really shows the darker side of the stars who instantly take success to their heads. Talking about Rimi Sen and her starry airs, the gal had enrolled her name to take part in the Celebrity Squash Tournament, but very abruptly refused to take part later when she got to know that her opponent is not a very known celeb, but just a character actor.
However, her opponent, actor Vikrant Chaudhury is not ready to take it lying down and retorts, “See, big stars always want to get involved in things which is been covered by the media. Rimi would have participated in the competition thinking that other Bollywood personalities would also have been participating and in the process, the tournament would have got media attention. But seeing that the players involved were mostly from television world have irked her and she decided to give me a walkover”.
Vikrant who portrayed the role of the CBI officer Naveen in the recently released Subhash Ghai’s Black and White says, “I was even ready to give her nine handicap points in a game of eleven, then too she didn’t want to play the match.”
Vikrant sure is very hurt and he should be, isn’t it?

Rimi Sen (b. on September 21, 1981 in Kolkata, India) is an Indian actress working in the Bollywood film industry. In an interview with journalist Vickey Lalwani, Sen revealed that she does not use her real name, Shoumitra Sen, "because it is so unusual." Sen moved to Mumbai to become a film actress. She was first noticed when she auditioned for a Coca-Cola advertisement, impressing Priyadarshan, the director of the ad. Priyadarshan cast her in his hit film Hungama, establishing her in Bollywood. She then played Amitabh Bachchan's and Hema Malini's granddaughter in the hit film Baghban. Her next big hit was the Yashraj produced Dhoom. Her next releases Phir Hera Pheri and Golmaal have been successful at the box office. Her latest release Dhoom 2, released on November 24, 2006, is another big hit, though she has very little presence in the film. Rimi is now going by the screen name Rimii. She explains the name change as a career move: there are many other Sens working in Bollywood right now, and a single name may help her stand out from the crowd and stay apart from others.Glamsham.com interviewed Sen in July 2006, discussing her movie Golmaal. In the interview Sen said, "I play a sweet and beautiful girl in the film. The best thing that I like about the film is that though it has four heroes, I am the only heroine. Rohit Shetty is amazing as a director. He can make even a black African look pretty." Ligali, an African British group, condemned her statements and said it showed "how normalized anti-African ideology is within Bollywood and its audiences. It would be unlikely that her racist comments will hinder her career or that of the journalist and media organisation that published this anti-African statement." Jaspreet Pandohar, Bollywood film critic for BBC Movies Online, said that Sen's comments were "shameful but not entirely surprising. It not only reflects her ignorance of other cultures and belief that black people can be naturally beautiful, but also illustrates India and Bollywood long-running obsession with fair skin. The sad thing is Rimi probably doesn't even realise her comments can be construed as offensive and maybe sometimes even racist . It would be practically unheard of a British actor making these kinds of racist comments in the open and to the media. She's currently still in Indian Cinema."

Rimi caused widespread offence in an interview statement in 2005, regarding the talent abilities of the director of the film Golmaal, Rohit Shetty. When complimented by a journalist on how good she'd looked in the film she was quoted as saying “Rohit Shetty is amazing as a director that he can even make a Black African look pretty”. Numerous social groups reacted negatively and called for Rimi to be made to apologise for the comment. The interview was removed from many online Bollywood related sites due to an onset of complaints from site visitors. Rimi has not made a formal statement on the incident from any medium at present.

Rimi Sen, who has been away from the Bollywood scene for quite some time will now be seen in a double role for the first time in Abdul Samee Siddiqui’s film Horn Ok Pleassss….It is learnt that Rimi shall be playing two diversely opposite characters in the comic caper.
The actress who was known as the lucky mascot of bollywood was last seen in De Taali. When quizzed about the role the actress said “when I heard the story and my character, I found it very challenging. Both my characters are smart and intelligent still they are poles apart in their approach. I am playing Nana Patekar’s s wife Ria who is a truck driver and in the other I am the love interest of Muzammil. Director Rakesh Sarang is an intelligent Filmmaker. It’s been fun doing this film. I enjoyed flitting from serious to fun mould of two diverse characters during the shoot.”
Produced by Abdul Samee Siddiqui under the banner of Sunrise Pictures Pvt Ltd & Sarang films, Horn Ok pleasss stars Nana Patekar, Muzamil Ibrahim and Shaurya Chouhan and is all set for January 9th release date.
